Government announces Dentistry To Resume from June 8th, 2020.

Yesterday (May 28th), the Government announced that Dental Practices could reopen from June 8th.

We have been working really hard behind the scenes to welcome you back as soon as possible, keeping up to date via dental webinars but our priority is to make sure we have the correct measures in place and the new PPE that is now required due to the highly infectious Corona virus.

Dental Practices have always had to have excellent infection control measures in place so a lot of this is not new, however the enhanced PPE now required has been difficult to source due to the huge & sudden demand. Most suppliers are out of stock or items are on back order. Until we have this, we will be unable to reopen.

When we do restart, our priority will be to see patients who were mid treatment when lockdown started, and those who have experienced problems during it, followed by those who have had their routine appointments cancelled in the past 10 weeks. It will take time, especially as the new measures will mean seeing fewer patients than usual to allow for social distancing in the waiting room etc, but we will get there!

Please be reassured that we will work really hard and have plans in place to get people seen as quickly as we can.

As before, if you have a problem at any point, please ring the practice where we can offer advice on analgesia, antibiotics if required & referral to urgent dental hubs if necessary.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
